Bend’s Community Center Plans Thrift Store

Howard Friedman, CCIM with Compass Commercial represented David and Jennifer Kremers (Kremers Family Trust) in the lease of a 7,176 square foot warehouse located at 255 NE Thurston Avenue to Bend?s Community Center. The organization will utilize the facility as a thrift store.

The Mission of Bend?s Community Center is to help the homeless and lower income achieve a higher standard of living by providing free food, clothing, emergency shelter, job training and other basic essentials through its programs.

Friedman noted that former tenants of the warehouse building included Backstrom?s Builders? storage facility and the Central Oregon Fellowship Hall, which will relocate. The Bend Community Center will move its existing thrift store at NE Franklin Avenue to the NE Thurston building across from Backstrom?s Builders just off Highway 97 at the end of the month.

Bend?s Community Center was represented by Al Eastwood and Craig Smith of Coldwell Banker Morris Real Estate.
