Hwy. 97 repairs due in south Redmond

KTVZ

ODOT maintenance crews will take to Highway 97 in south Redmond beginning Wednesday, August 8, to make repairs to the highway surface.

Patching and grinding work in the slow lanes in both directions from Veterans Way to Yew Avenue will continue until Thursday, August 23rd. Hours of operation will be from 7am until 3pm.

The work is needed to repair highway damage due to age and increasing traffic volumes and protect the long-term investment ODOT has made in the roadway.

Crews will begin by making repairs to the northbound slow lane beginning at Yew towards Veterans Way and complete the project with work in the southbound lane from Veterans to Yew.

While work is under way, crews will be implementing traffic control and providing direction for traffic into and out of local businesses. Signage will be placed to indicate that access to businesses remains available. Variable message signs will be in place on the highway before the work begins to alert motorists in advance of the actual project.
