Small brushfire doused near Alfalfa

KTVZ

A “holdover” brushfire, apparently sparked by lightning nearly a week ago, burned about 2 acres near Alfalfa, east of Bend, Saturday afternoon.

A water-dropping helicopter assisted crews in the ground as they battled the fire reported at mid-afternoon near Johnson Ranch and Alfalfa Market roads.

No structures were immediately threatened by the blaze, which firefighters expected to contain Saturday night.
