BendFilm builds buzz, adds venues

KTVZ

BendFilm has a fantastic line-up of events guaranteed to build buzz and generate excitement leading up to and just following this year’s festival, and is also announcing the adding of two new venues.

On August 27, 5 Fusion and Sushi Bar will be hosting a fundraiser dinner for BendFilm as part of its Collaborative Dinner Series with Trattoria Sbandati guest chef Juri Sbandati. Tickets for this amazing dinner event are $100 per guest, and includes carefully selected wines, paired with the dinner. Reservations and tickets can be procured at http://tinyurl.com/8nyyzz4.

Shortly following the festival on October 23, Stacey Dodson, a local mentor and business leader, is bringing Miss Representation to Bend. This powerful documentary is focused on how the media’s misrepresentations of women and girls have led to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence. Dodson said, “As a mom with a teenage daughter, I wanted to bring this film to our community because I think the message is powerful and is one that should be heard and seen by women, men, boys and girls.”

The screening will take place at Bend High School and will benefit both BendFilm and Saving Grace. Tickets will be available at www.bendfilm.org.

Tin Pan Theatre, located in Tin Pan Alley, is a cozy vintage setting that seats 29 people and will offer food and beverages for sale.
