Bend Research CEO joins OAS board
Oregon Adaptive Sports is proud to announce the addition of the newest member to the board of directors, Rod Ray.
Dr. Ray is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Bend Research, where he has worked since 1983.
During his time at Bend Research, Dr. Ray has held numerous positions specializing in the development and commercialization of a wide range of products. In addition to his expertise in advancing pharmaceutical processes and products,
Dr. Ray has extensive experience in commercializing diverse products for the electronics, energy, medical, agricultural, and space industries. Dr. Ray holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Oregon State University and a master’s degree and doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado – Boulder. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado and Oregon. Dr. Ray holds 21 U.S. patents and has 41 scientific publications.

In fact, my own granddaughter, Bailie Jo Ray, has experienced skiing at Mt. Bachelor thanks to OAS and their many motivated and talented volunteers. OAS is a quality organization and it feels good to be affiliated and to help in some small way.”
OAS’s Executive Director, Christine Brousseau, states “OAS is very excited about Dr. Ray’s appointment to our board. He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion to our dedicated team of directors. We are grateful that he is willing to lend those skills to our team in order to help us fulfill our mission of providing outdoor recreational opportunities to ALL individuals, regardless of ability.”
ABOUT OAS: Oregon Adaptive Sports has been breaking barriers in Central Oregon since 1996, providing individuals with disabilities and their families’ opportunities for outdoor recreation. Our goal is to nurture the human spirit and foster self-confidence and independence. We currently offer instructional programs in alpine and Nordic skiing and snowboarding, at both Hoodoo and Mt. Bachelor ski resorts. To prevent cost from being a barrier to participation, we rely on the support of hundreds of volunteers, businesses, donors and sponsors.
