Redmond parks online survey under way

KTVZ

The City of Redmond and the Redmond Area Park & Recreation District are initiating a community wide survey to engage the community-wide to share their opinions and insights, with the goal of providing direction for the development of the Dry Canyon Master Plan and the RAPRD Recreation Program & Facilities Plan.

The Dry Canyon is the City’s largest community park that provides a wide variety of important recreational amenities that include trails, natural areas, playgrounds, athletic fields, a dog-park and a skatepark. Updating the Dry Canyon Master Plan will help staff identify long-term strategies for park programming and development, property acquisition and park management.

The RAPRD is initiating the planning process to complete their first Recreation Program & Facilities Plan (RPFP) which is a 7-10 year plan that serves as a blueprint for facility and recreation program development. The RPFP will also provide guidance for future land acquisition, park, trail and open space development, development of recreation and administrative facilities and RAPRD operations and recreation programming needs.

The survey will take about 7-10 minutes to complete and can be accessed by using the link below or by visiting the City of Redmond or the RAPRD homepage.

The survey will be open for the next month to allow the community enough time to share their opinions.
