Deschutes Co. upgrades online property records

KTVZ

Deschutes County recently released a new online application that provides improved public access to county property records.

The Deschutes County Property Information Application – “Dial” can be accessed from the Deschutes County website at www.deschutes.org or directly through the http://dial.deschutes.org web address.

The application features a search engine similar to Google that provides the ability for users to select properties within the County. Once a property is selected, a wide range of information-such as documents and maps-are available for viewing through a user-friendly navigation menu. The application also provides several options for printing reports.

The new application provides access to records that are managed by the Deschutes County Assessor, Tax, Surveyor, and County Clerk offices, Community Development and Road departments, and Deschutes County 9-1-1. Interactive maps generated by the County’s Geographic Information System are also provided.

Once fully developed, the application will replace several of the county’s current online applications.

Dial was developed by a team of Deschutes County Information Technology staff, who were guided by representatives from several county departments, and members of the public who served on a feedback committee.

For more information about Dial and its capabilities, please call the Deschutes County Information Technology Department at (541) 330-4608.
