High Desert Chamber Music has been awarded a Meyer Memorial Trust grant, in the amount of $5,000.

The MMT’s mission is to work with and invest in organizations, communities, ideas and efforts that contribute to a flourishing and equitable Oregon. Since 1982, MMT has awarded funds to organizations that address a wide array of community needs in many different focus areas, including arts and culture.

“We are very fortunate to receive this award from the Meyer Memorial Trust. These funds will be used toward general operating support, to ensure the long-term sustainability of the operations and artistic excellence of High Desert Chamber Music. To receive recognition and an award from one of the largest foundations in the nation reinforces our commitment and dedication to our mission,” states Executive Director Isabelle Senger.

High Desert Chamber Music’s mission is to bring world class chamber music and musicians to Central Oregon. Now in its fifth season, HDCM has presented a broad range of chamber groups, from string trios to piano quintets. There are two concerts remaining in the 2012-13 season at the Oxford Hotel.

HDCM 2012-2013 title sponsors include the Oxford Hotel, KQAK radio, and KBNW Radio, Nelson Tile & Stone, The Norma DuBois & Julie Moe Team at Cascade Sotheby’s Int’l, North Rim, and Umpqua Bank.
