Two arrested, drugs seized in NE Bend raid

Acting fast on a tip, police raided a northeast Bend home near Marshall High School early Thursday and arrested two men, seizing heroin, marijuana and cash, officers said.

A Bend officer received a tip around 7 p.m. Wednesday that drugs were being used and sold at a home at 524 NE Marshall Avenue, less than a block from the school, said Sgt. Ron Taylor.

The officer applied for a search warrant, which was executed around 5 a.m. Thursday, Young said. Sebastian Anthony Servantes, 20, and Joshua William Young, 26, both of Bend, were contacted in the home and arrested, he said.

During a search of the home, officers said they found 20.5 grams of heroin packaged for sale, marijuana, over $3,500 in cash, scales and other items related to the sale of illegal drugs, Taylor said.

Taylor said the homeowner had evicted the two men from the home a few days earlier, but they had not yet left.

Servantes was lodged at the Deschutes County Jail on $62,500 bail, facing charges of heroin possession, manufacture and delivery of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school and frequenting a place where drugs are used.

Young, who was released from jail later Thursday, faces charges of heroin possession and frequenting a place where drugs are used.
