KTVZ

Bend’s Community Center brought back the Foodie Crawl fundraiser on Sunday. Thirteen Bend restaurants offered up 18 different dishes and beverage pairings.

Guests walked at their own pace to each location in downtown Bend, The Old Mill District or on the west side.

NewsChannel 21 caught up before the event with Primal Cuts Meat Market which was getting ready to make Argentinian pulled beef sliders at and Growler Phil’s, which was serving Good Life Brewing Sweet As.

“We thought it would be a good way to support the Bend Community Center,” said Jeff Bennett, co-owner of Growler Phil’s. “Brian did it last year and said it worked out really well, and so we thought it would be a good opportunity to partner with Primal Cuts, pair good food with a good beer.”

Other offerings included hickory smoked and charbroiled buffalo skirt steak at Victorian Cafe, pork belly wraps at the Range Restaurant. and Jamaican jerk pork tostadas at Rockin’ Dave’s.

All proceeds benefited the Bend Community Center’s Feed the Hungry program, which provides 2,000 meals for the hungry and homeless every week.
