CenturyLink reports Redmond phone/Net outage

A CenturyLink network outage is affecting telephone and internet services in Redmond, the utility said Monday afternoon.

The outage is due to construction from the 6 th Street road project in Redmond, officials said.

While 911 calls are not impacted at this time, CenturyLink officials say business and residential customers may experience problems with their phone and Internet service.

A spokeswoman said they were unsure of the number of customers affected by the outage, which was located around the North “Y” in Redmond.

“CenturyLink’s priority is customer service and customer safety and restoring communications,” said Susan Reed, vice president/general manager. “We appreciate our customers’ patience while we work to resolve this issue.”
