NeighborImpact plans NE Bend survey
NeighborImpact is conducting a comprehensive community impact study in the northeast section of Bend.
This survey that will measure residents’ experiences living in Bend is part of a nationwide effort on behalf of NeighborWorks America, a subsidiary of HUD. NeighborImpact is working closely with volunteers from OSU Cascades and other agencies to administer the survey.
Volunteers will be dispensed to NE Bend between now and the end of June.
All volunteers will be clearly identified with name badges and information about NeighborImpact as well as the survey. Residents who want more information about the survey or NeighborImpact should visit NeighborImpact’s website: www.neighborimpact.org.
“We are excited for the opportunity to get the pulse of Bend residents and to see how Bend’s experiences match up with communities around the country,” says Lynne McConnell, HomeSource Manager for NeighborImpact. “This survey will be a great way for NeighborImpact to find out how Bend residents feel about living here and how NeighborImpact is doing.”
The survey will be conducted this summer and again in 2015 (in the area between Butler Market Road/ NE 8th Street, Boyd Acres, and the canal) in an attempt to measure changes and consistencies in resident experiences.
Participants have the option of earning a gift card for completing the survey in person. Residents not at home during a visit will have the option of mailing in their survey.
A volunteer training will take place at the Bend NeighborImpact location on Thursday, May 16 at 2:00 p.m. Residents interested in volunteering or in taking the survey should contact Karen Bushnell at 541-323-6567.
