OSU-Cascades offers epidemiology course
Oregon State University-Cascades will offer a graduate course in public health this summer. The course, Principles and Practice of Epidemiology, will apply towards OSU’s Graduate Certificate in Public Health.
Geared towards professionals in the health care industry, course topics include measures of population health, screening, study design, measures of association and interpretation of epidemiological data.
The course will be delivered in a hybrid executive format where content is delivered online and through two in-class sessions with an instructor. The course will be offered the June 24 to July 9.
The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is an online program designed for public health practitioners and others seeking professional development and continuing education within the field of public health. The program focuses on the five core areas of public health: epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion and behavior, environmental and occupational health, and health management and policy.
Interested individuals must apply for admission to OSU-Cascades as a non-degree seeking students at http://www.osucascades.edu/future-students/admission-forms. Non-degree students may apply up to eight graduate credits toward the Graduate Certificate in Public Health.
