Forest Service map error discovered

KTVZ

A significant printing omission was discovered on the Forest Service Crooked River National Grassland Map that was published in 2012. The vicinity road system which includes two bridges that cross the Deschutes and Crooked River arms of Lake Billy Chinook did not show up on the map.

The road system was inadvertently deleted in the final stages of editing, and the problem wasn’t noticed until after the map was published. The Forest Service regrets the error. It will be corrected with the next printing of the map.

An addendum to the map is available at the following links:

The Pacific NW Regional Webpage: http://www.fs.usda.gov/r6/

The Central Oregon Website: http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/centraloregon/maps-pubs/?cid=stelprdb5289442

Central Oregon customers can also obtain a copy of the addendum in person at offices on the Deschutes or Ochoco National Forests, Prineville Bureau of Land Management, and Lava Lands Visitor Center.
