Bend PD BBQ raises funds for veterans
Last Friday and Saturday, the Bend Police Department participated in a fundraiser for a local veteran’s support group at the Flashback Car Cruz.
Officers and staff from Bend Police volunteered their time over the two days to BBQ hamburgers as a way to raise money for this great cause. The event raised $2400 for Central Oregon Veterans Outreach.
The Bend Police Department uses its “Car-BBQ” as a way to meet with the public and raise money for local causes such as the Friends of K9 program and the local Veteran’s support group.
