DCSCO seeks owners of found mini-donkey, piglet

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the owners of the two most recent arrivals at its Large Animal Rescue and Shelter in Bend – a miniature donkey and a piglet, both recently found wandering at large in different parts of the county.

The miniature donkey was reported being at large in the northwest Redmond area last Friday, while the piglet was found also at large in the Deschutes River Woods area on Monday, deputies said.

Anyone with information as to a possible owner, or those claiming ownership of the animals are asked to call the non-emergency dispatch number at (541) 693-7911.

People with a claim of ownership can reference incident number 13-16658 in regards to the miniature donkey and 13-169263 for the piglet. They also will be asked to supply more descriptive info, such as age, gender, etc., deputies said.
