OSU-Cascades grad program open house

Individuals interested in learning about graduate degrees in teaching and counseling offered at Oregon State University – Cascades in Bend are invited to attend an open house with fellow prospective students to learn about the graduate school experience and application requirements.

The open house is slated for Saturday, Nov. 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. The events will take place at the Graduate & Research Center, located at 650 S.W. Columbia Avenue in Bend.

OSU-Cascades’ graduate teaching programs provide graduates authorization to teach in early childhood and elementary school or in middle and high school. The middle and high school program offers endorsements in language arts, social studies, and math or science. Graduates are eligible to teach in 49 U.S. states.

The counseling program offers concentrations in school counseling and clinical mental health counseling. Students graduate with course requirements fulfilled for state licensing and national certification.

Both the teaching and counseling programs are nationally accredited. Graduates receive master’s degrees from Oregon State University.

The open house events will allow prospective students to interact with current students, academic advisors, faculty, graduates of the programs and admissions representatives.
