Super Bowl raffle to benefit community sports at Summit

KTVZ

Summit High School Boosters are offering the chance to win an incredible Super Bowl package valued at $8,500 for only $20.

In 2005, a 100-year storm triggered massive sinkholes and destroyed Summit High’s field. After much research, a decision was made to put in artificial turf. The field has dramatic safety and value that benefit not only Summit students, but the entire Bend community. Summit is able to host community and collegiate events that otherwise would not be possible here in Bend.

Our community members now have the opportunity to help support this decision – and possibly go to the Super Bowl!

The Super Bowl Package includes: two (2) tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII at the Metlife Field in Rutherford, NJ on February 2, 2014; four (4) night hotel stay in New York City; two (2) admission tickets to two (2) Super Bowl parties; and $1,500 cash towards travel expenses. The drawing will be held on Friday, October 18, after the third quarter of the Summit HS Varsity football game.

Odds are pretty great, as only 4,000 tickets will be sold.

“Bend is a mecca for athletes of all kinds,” says Maura Bledsoe, Raffle co-chair, “This is a chance for our community to come together to support its young athletes.”
