Bend shelter seeks cold-weather donations

KTVZ

Winter temperatures are coming and surviving outdoors for the homeless is rough. The Shepherd’s House, a nonprofit organization that serves the homeless is seeking donations of socks, hats, gloves, jackets, sleeping bags, tents and other winter clothes and supplies.

“We are pretty much of out of everything. As the weather continues to get colder, we distribute everything we get in,”said Curt Floski, Director at The Shepherd’s House.

In order to increase awareness, KNLR Radio 97.5 will be broadcasting live from The Shepherd’s House from 10 am to 1 pm this Saturday, October 12. Come drop off a donation, visit with TSH staff, residents and enjoy lunch and the sounds of KNLR Radio 97.5.
