Redmond coffee-stand robbery suspect photo released
Redmond police released an unusual surveillance photo Monday evening of a woman who kept most identifying features hidden as she robbed a Dutch Bros. coffee stand in northwest Redmond, hoping to get tips that will lead to an identification and arrest.
Redmond police and Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies responded around 9:15 p.m. to the reported holdup at the Dutch Bros. at 650 NW Jackpine Ave. No. 1, said Sgt. Curtis Chambers.
“She made some motions to make the person believe that she was armed, but no weapon was actually seen,” Lt. Keith Knight said late Monday. “She was able to take with her an undisclosed amount of cash.”
Officers arrived to find the woman had fled, last seen getting into a red car of unknown make and model, Chambers said. A search of the area did not turn up the suspect.
The robber is described as a white female adult, 5-foot-5, and tall with a thin to medium build. She was last seen wearing a black coat with the hood up and a scarf over her face, blue jeans and brown boots. She was carrying a yellow or green cloth shopping bag with straps, Chambers said.
The investigation is ongoing, the sergeant said, and all leads are being investigated.
Officers searched the area for evidence and used a police tracking dog to assist.
Police asked anyone with information regarding the holdup to contact police through Deschutes County dispatchers at (541) 693-6911.

As for what to do in such situations, Knight said: “If you are a victim of a circumstance such as this, the best thing to do is to be a really good witness and do whatever the suspect tells you, just to keep yourself safe.”
