Rock falls from Hwy. 26 vehicle; serious injury

KTVZ

One person reportedly was seriously injured Sunday evening when a rock fell off one vehicle and struck another along Highway 26 on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, authorities said.

Oregon State Police said the accident occurred around 5 p.m. east of the Highway 216 intersection in Wasco County.

The injured person was being taken to Government Camp, where a Life Flight helicopter was dispatched to fly the person to an unidentified hospital, troopers said.

Because it happened on the reservation, OSP said they were not involved in the investigation and that any more information would have to come from Warm Springs police. A call to that agency for more information was not immediately returned.
