Pole Creek Fire area roads reopened

The Sisters Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest has reopened roads to the public that were closed because of fire recovery and rehabilitation work from the 2012 Pole Creek Fire.

Forest Road 1514, which ties together Forest Road 15 and Forest Road 16 and crosses the Whychus Wild and Scenic River southwest of Sisters, has reopened following the placement of an upgraded culvert at Snow Creek.

In addition, the following roads off of Forest Road 16 are reopened:

FS Road 1600-600 to its junction with 1600-620 FS Road 1600-620 FS Road 1600-700

A portion of Forest Road 1514-600 and all of Forest Road 1514-680 will continue to be temporarily closed.
