Dutch Bros. raises $4,000 for C.O. kids
Central Oregon Dutch Bros. Coffee locations and community members raised $4,028 on Friday , Dec. 6, for their annual Buck for Kids Day.
To raise funds, all eight locations donated $1 from every drink sold to the Bend-La Pine, Redmond and Sisters school districts .
“We had such an incredible Buck for Kids Day this year,” said Central Oregon Marketing Director Kaelyn Costa. “Despite the crazy snowstorm that could have scared off so many, we had a huge turnout at all our stores.”
Since opening their first store in Bend in 2004, local owner-operators Bill and Carol Smith have given back over $560,000 to local causes, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon, Healthy Beginnings, Neighbor Impact, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the local chapter of American Cancer Society.
Buck for Kids Day is an annual event in which all 213 Dutch Bros. locations in seven states donate drink proceeds to youth programs selected by local owners.
Company-wide, Dutch Bros. Coffee donates over $1 million every year to nonprofit organizations and causes, in an effort to achieve its goal of, “Making a difference, one cup at a time.”
