Four charged in NE Bend meth raid

Four Bend residents face methamphetamine-related charges after a drug raid Thursday morning on a home in northeast Bend, across the street from Mountain View High School, police said.

Bend police and members of the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team (CERT) served a search warrant around 7:10 a.m. at the home at 2665 NE Brian Ray Court, said Cpl. Mike Landolt.

Landolt said there have been several complaints of drug activity at the home over the past couple of years, with people coming and going after short visits.

Officers searched the home and found user amounts of meth in four rooms, the corporal said. They also seized marijuana, scales, packaging material and other evidence of meth possession, sales and distribution.

Four adults were at the home at the time of the raid: Kassandra Marie Hall, 23; Richard Scott Samuels, 46; Christina Ann Brown, 23; and Joseph Rodney Schuller, 37. There also was a child present, and state Department of Human Services Child Services was contacted and responded to the scene.

Samuels, Brown and Schiller were taken to the Deschutes County Jail, while Hall was issued a citation on two charges – meth possession and frequenting a house where drugs are used, kept or sold – and released.

Brown was held without bail on a parole violation and frequenting charge. Schuller was held on $75,000 bail, charged with meth delivery and manufacturing within 1,000 feet of a school, as well as meth possession and frequenting. Samuels , also charged with meth possession and frequenting, was taken to jail and later released on his own recognizance.
