OAS plans tandem bike pilot training clinic
Seeking Volunteers! Join Oregon Adaptive Sports as they host a FREE tandem pilot training clinic for adults interested in learning how to pilot (captain) a tandem bike for individuals with visual impairments.
This group of trained individuals will then make up a volunteer pool of ready and able individuals available to cycle with participants who are Blind or Visually Impaired on individual and group rides.
WHEN: Saturday, May 10 th 1:00-4:30pm
COST: Free
WHERE: Pine Nursery Park
WHO: Any bike rider interested in learning how to pilot/captain a tandem bike with a visually impaired rider.

ABOUT OAS: Oregon Adaptive Sports has been breaking barriers in Central Oregon since 1996, providing disabled people and their families opportunities for outdoor recreation. Our goal is to nurture the human spirit and foster self-confidence and independence. We currently offer instructional programs in alpine and Nordic skiing and snowboarding, at both Hoodoo and Mt. Bachelor ski resorts. To prevent cost from being a barrier to participation, we rely on the support of hundreds of volunteers, businesses, donors and sponsors.
