Bend DAR chapter honors history teacher

The Bend Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) recently honored Ms. Bobbi Sloan of Redmond as their outstanding Teacher of American History for the 2013-2014 school year.

Bobbi teaches at Central Christian School in Redmond.

The DAR recognizes outstanding history teachers each year at the Chapter Level, as well as State and National levels.

Teachers are eligible from public, private or parochial schools, teaching grades 5 through 12.

The DAR was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support education for our nation’s children.
