Buehler to visit every school in District 54

KTVZ

Dr. Knute Buehler, candidate for State Representative, announced Thursday that he will visit every school in House District 54 before Election Day.

The purpose of the listening tour, which includes 28 schools in Bend, is to gain a firsthand understanding of what local educators believe are the opportunities and challenges facing their local schools.

“We have really good schools in Bend, but we should strive to have world class schools. I want to learn from our local educators what policy choices in Salem mean to schools, teachers and students here in Bend,” said Buehler.

Dr. Buehler serves on the budget committee for the Bend-La Pine School District and on the boards of Oregon State University Foundation and The Ford Family Foundation, which is a significant supporter of the Chalkboard project and provides college scholarships to Oregonians. He was also on the advisory board for OSU-Cascades from 1999-2004.
