Bend Spay-Neuter Project names medical director

Bend Spay and Neuter Project is excited to announce the hiring of our new Medical Director, Dr. Katie Bahr. Dr. Bahr will lead our medical team and will be working to expand our community programs.

Dr. Bahr grew up in Rochester, MN and attended South Dakota State University for her undergraduate education.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in April 2011. She then completed a one year small animal rotating internship at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Bahr then completed seven months of a surgical residency in Ohio before moving to Oregon in 2013. where she joined general practice for one year and worked closely with the local shelter.

Because of her desire to end pet overpopulation she has joined Bend Spay & Neuter Project as medical director.
