New Terrebonne School principal chosen

Redmond School District Superintendent Mike McIntosh has announced the selection of Trevor Flaherty as principal for Terrebonne Community School.

Flaherty will replace outgoing Terrebonne principal Tom Yahraes, who accepted an assistant superintendent position in Montana.

Flaherty is currently the assistant principal at Jefferson County Middle School in Madras. Prior to working in the Jefferson County School District, he served in administrator roles in the Corvallis School District and Seaside School District as well as teaching roles for West Linn-Wilsonville School District and Central School District.

“Trevor brings a wealth of educational leadership to Redmond School District,” shared McIntosh. “He has extensive experience in both student and school improvement. We are thrilled to have him lead the team at Terrebonne Community School!”

His background includes a diverse mix of serving in administration, teaching, coaching and developing programs designed for student success.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Oregon University. He earned two master’s degrees in educational administration and curriculum and instruction as well as his administrative certificate from Portland State University. Flaherty will join Redmond School District on July 1.

“It is an absolute thrill and an incredible honor to have been selected as principal of Terrebonne Community School,” Flaherty shares. “I look forward to working collaboratively with the students, staff and community in my new role and can’t wait to get started!”
