Nolan named Redmond HS asst. principal
Redmond School District Superintendent Mike McIntosh has announced that Paul Nolan has been selected as assistant principal of Redmond High School.
Nolan will fill the position left by Tony Pupo, who was selected as planning principal of Hartman Elementary School, which is slated to open in the fall of 2015.
Nolan has been working as a 6 th grade teacher at Sunridge Middle School in Pendleton School District. He has also taught social studies, world history, contemporary world affairs and civics at Pendleton High School.
Nolan graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon. He received his master’s of education from the University of Oregon College of Education and completed work for his administrative license at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.
Beyond his work in the classroom, Nolan has been actively involved in his community, having served as a volunteer with the Classroom Law Project, the Center for Civic Education’s Project Citizen program, and local school bond campaign efforts.
“I am honored to work with the innovative and dedicated staff at Redmond High School,” shared Nolan. “I am eager to begin work to support our students, staff, parents, and community to ensure that all of our students graduate prepared for life beyond our doors.”
