SE Bend sewer project open house planned

KTVZ

The city of Bend is hosting an open house for the public to provide information about the next phase of the Southeast Interceptor sewer project. City staff will be available to share maps and plans and to answer questions.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, in the gymnasium at Jewell Elementary School, at 20550 Murphy Road.

The Southeast Interceptor project is a multi-year, multi-segment sewer collection line that will collect and transport waste water by gravity from the south end of Bend and around the easterly reaches of the city.

The current phase of the sewer line project will begin at the intersection of Murphy Road and Brosterhous Road and run east and north to Ferguson Road.

Construction of this phase is anticipated to begin in late October and be completed by the end of July of 2015.

If you are unable to attend the meeting and would like information about the project, please contact Eric Forster at 541-317-3040 or eforster@bendoregon.gov.
