Bethlehem Inn issues urgent plea for help

KTVZ

The Bethlehem Inn announced Thursday it is in urgent need of food, paper products and grocery store gift cards in support of its Emergency Meal Program.

Donations of lunch meat, sliced cheese, chicken and hamburger are among the foods most needed (please visit bethleheminn.org for more information).

Gift cards allow the Inn to make purchases based on immediate circumstances and give the greatest flexibility. This need is in preparation of the cold months ahead, when the Inn sees a dramatic increase in the number of adults and children seeking shelter and meals.

The Bethlehem Inn relies on the community’s generosity through food and gift card donations for its Emergency Meal Program. Last year the Inn served over 71,000 meals and provided 1,500 food boxes to the community’s adults and children experiencing homelessness. Donations are gladly accepted every day at the Bethlehem Inn located at 3705 N. Hwy. 97 in Bend.

The Bethlehem Inn is committed to transforming lives with shelter, help and hope by providing a warm bed, hot shower, three meals each day and support services for adults and families experiencing homelessness in Central Oregon.

Each year, the Inn provides shelter and support to over 1,100 individuals across a range of needs.

To make a donation and learn more about how you can be a part of Central Oregon’s solution to end homelessness, please call 541.322.8768 or visit www.bethleheminn.org. Donations may also be mailed to Bethlehem Inn, P.O. Box 8540, Bend, OR 97708.
