Bend plans neighborhood association ‘pub talks’
Representatives from a number of Bend’s neighborhood associations are kicking off a new format for regular meetings at Deschutes Brewery Public House, 1044 NW Bond Street in Bend.
The first “pub talk” will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 17, and the public is invited.
Neighborhood Association Roundtable pub talk meetings will provide an informal opportunity to learn more about the neighborhood associations across the city.

Each neighborhood association is a voluntary association of residents and/or businesses, recognized by the city and created to provide opportunities to focus oncrime prevention, community gardens,clean-up projects, traffic safety issues, sidewalk improvements, bicycle access ways, trails and parks, noxious weed abatement, fire protection plans, and more.
Whether it is parks, recreational trails, traffic concerns, transportation,or what construction project is proposed on the corner, collective voices from a neighborhood association can make a change and have positive influence.
