‘Tis the season to holiday party in C.O.
Did your company pull out all the stops for your holiday party this year? Was it more than last year?
‘Tis the season to celebrate an improving economy.
“The celebration is a little bit more festive, if you will,” Riverhouse Hotel Manager Rocky Adrianson said Monday.
“It’s just been a really busy season,” said Barbara Tate, co-owner of Tate and Tate Catering.
These are all signs of an improving economy throughout Central Oregon.
“Companies are doing much better, and they are looking at opportunities to celebrate their successes,” Adrianson said.
That success has gradually fueled the holiday party season the past two years.
“There is a continual slow growth, we saw some of it last year. A few more parties this year, and the parties are a little bit bigger,” Adrianson said.
From big venues like The Riverhouse to a smaller catering company like Tate and Tate Catering, business is booming.
“Busy. I call it full-tilt boogie — just go,” Tate said.
The holidays are a season like no other.
“I likened the holiday season to summer, compressed into 3 1/2 weeks,” Tate said.
It’s all hands on deck, and sleep is limited.
They are really tired by Christmas Eve. But the party doesn’t end on New Year’s.
“In fact, a lot of them happen after the first of the year,” Adrianson said.
