Broadcast IT Engineer

NPG of Oregon, a cluster of stations that includes KTVZ (NBC), KFXO (FOX), The CW and Telemundo is looking for a Broadcast IT Engineer. This individual will be a key team member of the Engineering team responsible for the operation, installation and maintenance of the local desktop computers and servers in a broadcast news environment. This position will require a proven IT background with experience in troubleshooting desktop computer hardware, software and networking issues. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to analyze manual processes or procedures and assist in the development of automated solutions. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Knowledge of UNIX, LINUX and MS Windows, operation commands, programming scripts and utilities is important. Strong knowledge of email and web standards (SMTP, POP3, IMAP, LDAP, HTTPS) is also important.

Other highly desired skills, but not required: TV Broadcasting administration with an understanding of Mastercontrol and Newsroom Automation, non-linear video editing systems, broadcast video servers, broadcast character generators, as well as production control room systems.

A valid Oregon driver’s license or the ability to obtain one is required.
