KTVZ

Feral cats are a problem in Redmond. The Central Oregon Cat Alliance, comprised of Bend Spay & Neuter, BrightSide Animal Center and the Humane Society of Central Oregon, is holding a free Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, Jan. 31, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m., to discuss this issue.

In addition, the group seeks volunteers to trap cats and transport them to Bend Spay & Neuter for surgery.

The Town Meeting will be held at the COCC Veterinary Technician Classroom, 1360 NE Jackpine Ave. in Redmond. This is a new address that is not in GPS systems yet.

Directions: Take U.S. Highway 97 north to the Hemlock Avenue exit. Turn right onto Hemlock, then turn left on 11 th St. and then right on Jackpine to 1360 NE Jackpine.

The Central Oregon Cat Alliance is a collaboration founded in 2012 to do a large-scale Trap, Neuter and Release project over the next five to seven years.
