City of Prineville starts offering podcasts

The City of Prineville has launched a new series of short podcasts which will highlight and personalize the people who work for, and volunteer with, the city.

Hosted and produced by Bill Mintiens, owner of Jakie Spring Media LLC which has a public relations contract with the city, the podcasts are intended to both educate and foster closer relationships between the city and the public.

The city’s first podcast was published online Wednesday. A conversation with Prineville’s new Police Department Captain, Dale Cummins, the podcast tells the story of Cummins’ background, his family, and why he was so excited to be selected for the position of Captain. Total running time is five minutes eighteen seconds.

The city’s podcasts will be archived on the city’s Facebook page, on iTunes, and distributed using Twitter.
