KTVZ

A 3-month-old Culver boy stopped breathing and died early Monday, despite medics’ efforts to save him, and authorities said the grieving family was cooperating in the investigation.

Jefferson County EMS and fire medics were dispatched around 5:50 a.m. to an unidentified address in Culver regarding a 3-month-old infant who was not breathing, said sheriff’s Capt. Marc Heckathorn.

The child was rushed to St. Charles Redmond, where he “was later pronounced deceased after all life-saving efforts had failed,” Heckathorn said in a news release.

The sheriff’s and district attorney’s offices are investigating the death, and no arrests have been made, the lieutenant said, adding that “the family has fully cooperated with the investigators and is grieving.”

Heckathorn said more information will be released when the investigation has concluded.
