Bend Endurance Academy announces the opening of their Summer Nordic Training programs for 2015. The training programs are ideal for athletes of a variety ages who are looking to stay fit and active over the summer vacation and start the next Nordic season with a high level of fitness and strength.

Program options include four different levels of training ranging from one to five days a week. Workouts include; general conditioning and strength, bounding, classic roller skiing, and skate roller skiing.

“The summer training programs are geared for Nordic skiers as young as 12 years old and going all the way up to collegiate Nordic ski racers,” stated Bend Endurance Academy Nordic coach Ben Husaby.

“We always have a crew of motivated collegiate Nordic skiers who will make Bend and BEA home for the summer, training with the rest of the BEA’s Nordic team. It makes for a really cool opportunity to have our younger development team and competition team skiers occasionally training with the older and more accomplished athletes,” Husaby commented about the depth of the summer program.

Bend Endurance Academy recommends younger and newer skiers look into the one or two day a week options. While more experienced and older athletes should consider the three or five day a week training schedule.

Information and enrollment for summer Nordic programs can be found online at http://www.bendenduranceacademy.org/nordic-team/.
