Road closures, detours, delays for Bend Marathon

KTVZ

The Bend Marathon takes place Sunday, April 26 . The race begins at 7:30 a.m. in downtown Bend and finishes in the Mirror Pond parking lot.

Race organizers will provide detour signs and traffic control on the course. Drivers should expect delays at many locations around town. A full course map is available at http://www.bend-marathon.com/course-info.html

The course travels through the center of the city before heading north along the Deschutes River.

At mile five, the course turns back south and passes through downtown again, continuing to the Old Mill District and then out on the Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway towards the Seventh Mountain Resort.

The race then heads through the Tetherow neighborhood to the West Bend Trail and the finish downtown.

Runners and spectators are encouraged to park in the Centennial Parking Garage downtown and not on streets in the downtown area. Parking in the garage is free and the entrance is off NW Lava Rd., just north of NW Minnesota Ave.
