‘Bend Follies’ set for two-night comedy show

KTVZ

The Tower Theatre is hosting the “Bend Follies” show in its third year. Friday and Saturday night, familiar faces from around Central Oregon will take the stage to “laugh at ourselves.”

“The whole thing is really sort of a lampoon,” NewsChannel 21’s Bob Shaw said Thursday. “You will see and hear things you have not seen other people do before in this community.”

Shaw, Renee Nelson and Lee Anderson will be on stage at the Tower, along with city councilors, county commissioners, previous participants in local politics, and many others.

“Lee Anderson and I are anchoring the news,” Nelson said. “Are we supposed to remember our lines? Because if we are, I’m in trouble.”
