The Bloom Project hires volunteer coordinator

The Bloom Project, nonprofit providing fresh floral bouquets to hospice and palliative care patients, announces it has hired Julie McClay as volunteer coordinator for the Central Oregon project.

In her role, McClay will lead and grow the team of volunteers and ensure the location is working to its highest potential.

“We’re incredibly thrilled to have Julie join our team,” said Heidi Berkman, founder of The Bloom Project. “Her business background and undeniable compassion for others will be a huge asset to our organization.”

Before joining the organization, McClay performed exceptional customer service in a variety of industries. She held positions at Central Oregon Audiology, Jenny Craig and Voicecurve Call Center. McClay earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University and resides in Bend, Ore.

“I’m passionate about helping others in the community, and I’m delighted to be a part of an organization dedicated to bringing joy and beauty into people’s lives,” said McClay. “I am excited to use my background in business and customer service to serve the community through The Bloom Project.”
