Opportunity Knocks hires new executive director
Opportunity Knockswelcomes Aly Waibel as executive director. In her role, Waibel is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and operations of Opportunity Knocks, working closely with the Board of Directors to accomplish the organization’s mission of supporting growth and economic development in the Central Oregon business community.
Waibel moved to Bend from Tucson in June and has over ten years of experience in program management, professional development instruction and educational consulting in a variety of businesses and communities. Previously, she was the Program Manager and Research Specialist at The University of Arizona’s Western Mining Safety and Health Training Resource Center.

Waibel holds a Master’s Degree in Language, Reading and Culture and a PhD in Teaching, Learning and Sociocultural Studies from the University of Arizona, College of Education.
Express Employment Professionals conducted a professional search on behalf of Opportunity Knocks, led by Contract & Search Specialist, Lauren Jorgenson.EDCO also contributed to the locating and hiring of Aly.
