Crash, power outage closes Juniper Swim-Fitness Center

Juniper Swim & Fitness Center in northeast Bend was closed Friday due to a power outage, Bend Park and Rec District officials said.

All afternoon and evening activities were canceled due to the outage, caused by a crash involving a power utility transformer at the site. The outage is isolated to the facility, officials said.

The park district said it’s expected that repairs to restore power will be made Friday evening and the facility will reopen for regular business at 8 a.m. Saturday.
