Cow found wandering; Deschutes SO seeks owner

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information for a possible owner of a cow found wandering at large between Bend and Redmond earlier this month.

The cow has a distinctive brand, deputies said, but efforts to locate the owner/registrar of that brand have been unsuccessful.

No additional information was gained in checking with the local Oregon brand inspector, .

Anyone with a claim of owner or information on a possible owner is asked to call the non-emergency dispatch number at 541-693-6911, referencing case No. 15-288139.

Those with a claim of ownership will be asked for additional descriptive information, including a complete description of the brand.
