Crook Co. SO reports Free Shred Day, drug take-back results

KTVZ

On Saturday the Crook County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Data Delete, sponsored a personal papers Shred Day, prescription drug take back day, and can food drive for Holiday Partnership.

Undersheriff John Gautney reports:

The event was in the parking lot next to the Sheriff’s Office and with the help of the staff that volunteered their time, this event was very successful. In the 3 hours we were open, we had over 60 vehicles that came through with personal papers for shredding. We collected a substantial amount of food for the holidays and over 35 pounds of prescription drugs.

The Crook County Sheriff’s Office wants to thank Data Delete for their contribution and their support to our community. We also want to thank all the citizens who came to participate. I personally want to thank the Crook County Staff who helped with this event. Without their help and support this event would not have been possible.

This is an event that we plan to make an annual event each November. So if you missed us this time, start planning for next year.
