Early Look: East Coast cities wooing Deschutes Brewery

Bend’s still-expanding Deschutes Brewery is weighing a decision among several East Coast candidate cities for its new brewery.

Among the five cities in the running: Asheville, North Carolina and Roanoke, Virgina, which are both vigorously promoting their cities through social media campaigns.

NewsChannel 21’s Dani Fried spoke this week with Tony Kiss, a journalist from Asheville; Michael Galliher, the coordinator of the “Deschutes 2 Roanoke” project, and Gary Fish, founder and owner of Deschutes Brewery, to see what they all have to say about the expansion.
