Minn. man jailed after OSP stop turns up 113 lbs. of marijuana

A Minnesota man pulled over for speeding in Klamath County was arrested after about 113 pounds of marijuana was found in the trunk of his car, Oregon State Police reported Monday.

Around 12: 15 p.m. last Friday, an OSP trooper stopped a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by David Huckaby, 33, of St. Paul, Minnesota, for a speed violation on state Highway 140E near the Klamath County town of Bly, said OSP Lt. Steve Mitchell.

During the stop, the trooper located about 113 pounds of suspected marijuana in the trunk of of Huckaby’s car, Mitchell said. The marijuana was valued at about $226,000, he added.

Huckaby was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and distribution and lodged in the Klamath County Jail.

OSP troopers were assisted at the scene by OSP Drug Enforcement Section detectives, Mitchell said, adding that the investigation is continuing.
