Is Redmond prepared? Online survey aims to find out
Prepare ! Redmond has partnered with Oregon Institute of Technology to assess the prepare dness needs of the greater Redmond area through an online survey now underway.
You can participate by taking a survey at the following web address: tinyurl.com/phmrcsurvey. The survey on emergency prepare dness takes approximately 10 minutes.
Prepare ! Redmond is a community collaborative to take advantage of the national Prepare ! initiative to save lives and livelihoods by preparing individuals and families, schools, businesses and entire communities to respond to and recover from disasters of all types and sizes.
Prepare ! Redmond will help to substantially preserve the region’s economy and assure that communities survive after devastating wildfires, floods, severe storms and even a catastrophic earthquake.
Prepare ! Redmond is a community-based collaborative group comprised of local organizations including American Red Cross, City of Redmond (Administration, Police, and Public Works), Deschutes County (Sheriff’s Office, 9-1-1, and Health Services), Redmond Fire & Rescue, , local health care and utility providers, and faith-based organizations.
Together, their outreach and impact will help prepare Redmond residents for future disasters and build the resilience of the community.
Central Oregon is no stranger to disaster, with yearly wildfires impacting our communities.
