Buckingham Elementary School fifth-grader Avery Chinchen’s artwork has been chosen as the official logo for the U.S. Bank Mini Pole Pedal Paddle T-shirt for 2016.

Avery’s artwork was selected among a record 140 entries. She will be rewarded with a Round Table pizza party for her class, a gift from Saxon’s, a $100 gift card to BOGS Footwear and a free team entry to the U.S. Bank Kid’s Mini PPP.

The top four winners included Caroline Vaughn from Seven Peaks, Jazmin Reiter from Ensworth Elementary, Skye Knox from Bear Creek Elementary and Tatum Bunting from Miller Elementary. They will all receive gifts from Saxon’s and a $100 gift card to BOGS Footwear.

The U.S. Bank Mini Pole Pedal Paddle will take place in the Les Schwab Amphitheater on Sunday, May 22.

Teams of six participants each ranging in age from 1st to 6th grade compete in river rafting (with a rafting guide), biking, an obstacle course and a run. All six team members paddle the raft with their rafting guide on board. One bike rider then rides the course. Four members each challenge the obstacle course and one final member runs the distance run course.

The U.S. Bank Mini Pole Pedal Paddle is presented by Bend Memorial Clinic, Hasson Company Realtors, Dick’s Sporting Goods and MBSEF.
